And you get a hybrid that is still NOT a laptop for about $1350. I bought a new 2015 Macbook Pro 13" for $1100 and it is way better and more efficient for serious job. And it has a far better retina screen and a bigger one at that, and I can connect it to a large screen through HDMI (something the iPad does not have). As for connectivity, we all know who the winner is.
As for the 10" screen of the iPad, well try to work on anything that needs two windows side by side and you will see that it cannot match the experience and convenience of the macOS even with iOS 11. By the way I have an iPad Air 2 and I can see the differences.
