Day 131 — Freedom To Live

“I’m my own worst critic, and if I don’t pull off what I think I wanted to do in my head, then I won’t be a happy girl.”
The outfit was chosen in memory of the English artist who died 6 years ago. She was a singer, a songwriter, and her voice is instantly recognized and praised.
The Outfit:
I wore a grey velvet skirt on reverse (not the velvety side), with a white i-shirt, a red bra, a black belt and black peep toe heels. The accessories were limited to a pair of ring earrings, a 4-decker necklace. I also used a red shirt to tie my hair and the wig.

The Day:
Amy’s make up, hair and general style are immediately recognizable and many comments were made.
Some people were really scared and said that I got it so well it’s startling them every time they see me. Other comments were that I looked a bit “hoe-ish” or “sexy.”
I went from home to work, to home again for my dad’s birthday, and later to a hangout place at night to watch Game of Thrones. The reactions were of different kinds but nothing extreme happened except how I was scaring people.
Amy was a great artist and alcohol abuse led to her death eventually. After a two-week writing block, I’m dedicating this character and entry to everyone battling any form of addiction, or inner demons. We’re losing so many talents and good souls to life.
Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington were the last we lost. Their musical creations were there for fans all over the world.
R.I.P. 🌷
If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health issues, there are ways to get help. There are organizations whose soul purpose is to help.
