Weird Web of Bro Influence and Puppets

Many people are worried about material conditions. They want friends, love, and enough money to have a place and enjoy positive experiences. This story is not right for them. America’s young and “well-educated” medium elite are much better at viewing reality through these materialist glasses. Immigrants are taking jobs! Terror! Tax dollars! These things come off way more serious than telling me SEXISM SEXISM because a rich white woman didn’t get nominated for an Oscar film. What?? The weird web of bro influence.

Move over, there’s a new subculture in town, trading our TikTok trends for Thomas Carlyle quotes. Meet America’s New Play: a loose confederation of podcasters, online philosophers, anonymous Twitter bros, and artfully disheveled scenesters who have made being “anti-woke” the new “IT” thing. A projection to overthrow the thrust of progress, at least such as liberals understand the word. Think Williamsburg hipsters, but instead of vegan lattes, they’re sipping from the fount of Ted Kaczynski’s Industrial Society and Its Future. (Don’t worry, they call him “Uncle Ted” with a wink and a smirk.)
