The perpetrators — hedge fund managers, lobbyists, war pigs with MBAs — are rewarded with beachfront properties and government contracts. The victims? They’re told it’s their fault for not coding fast enough.
The good news? They’ve got solutions. The bad news? We are not in any of them. That’s because decline isn’t a bug. It’s the feature. This isn’t mismanagement. This isn’t incompetence. It’s design. They figured out that they could profit from the apocalypse, and they’ve been upselling us on extinction ever since. Every unrepaired road is a green light for a toll privatization deal.
