Beyond loathe that song ps :)
ITS SO NICE TO BE HERE HOLY SHIT
Was not the easiest getting here but I’m a happy girl, have yet to get my scheduale but I’m confident for today and everything else going well.
Dad drove me to the train :) No tears, no issues, I’m seeing him on the 11th because its Aurora’s birthday, we’re all going to go out and grab drinks and shit; then they’re going to see Jim Gaffigan which they’re thrilled about.
My suitcase is/was extra heavy because I loaded water jugs in it (big glass gallons) and one of them shattered while I was going up the steps in Penn Station, it started gushing everywhere and I thought I could stem the flow by opening my bag? Nearly sliced off my thumb investigating (not good, thumbs are willpower, not how I wanted to re-enter the city) and stunk up the whole place with bud so I hurridly shut my shit and booked it out of the station. Its been nervewracking lately because the city is on high alert for a ……haha I was going to write ‘terriorist’ attack but my fingers were typing ‘government att — ‘ haha. So yeah they’re have been dogs stationed and shit, I’ve got just under a half ounce, possibly even more on me so was thrilled to leave undetected. Grabbed a taxi, brought me here I’m literally three blocks away from Jason’s building, I can see his balcony from my street. Cool. Looking forward to see him.
Its serious Manahattan proper here, I’ve already been bitched out by two neighbors for setting off the alarm by trying to get on the roof (I only tried twice!!!! alarm sounds just by walking up the stairs, so harsh) to smoke, no dice :( Have to go down the six flights of stairs and around the corner and I’ve still only managed to smoke 3/4's
The couple is cute, straight from China and academics. I got about three flights up with my suitcase before Beimeng ran down to try and help me, than she called for her boyfriend and he brought it up for us. He’s really cute actually, they both are. Was very thankful he carried my dead bodies up here :p I’m literally staying in their kitchen, they have this flimsy bed against the wall and I’ve got no space to move, no door whatsoever. Their room is gigantic, they offered to switch but that would be crazy, they’d have no room! So yeahhhh, I’m hiding my bud in their oven and I’ve heard no complaints so I’m hoping they can’t smell it/don’t care. They didn’t mention anything about not smoking. I should be here tonight as well, then hopefully I can move into the LES place.
Was here for less than twenty mintues before I went downtown to meet her. She was about ten minutes late. She’s not friendly at all, the type of person where when you’re talking to them, you have NO idea how they’re perceiving you. No clue if she’ll let me move in. The place is nice, my room is bigger than expected, it would really work out perfectly for me, plus she said she’s leaving on the 22nd and doesn’t know when she’ll be back (YES!), and she wants a three month commitment and I’m down for that as well. Wants me to sign a contract, fineeeee. Wants a two hundred dollar deposit, fineeeeeee. But at the end of it she goes ‘okay well I’m going to have a think, and get back to you’. THINK AND WRITE ME BACK WHORE
It would be shitty if she denied me, she’d be a fucking fool too but I have to remain positive and find a better place. I really, really want this flat so think good thoughts for me.
So yeah I bounced and hit up a bar, it was coooold too and the place was lovely :) Three glasses of white wine, spent the whole time talking to the bartender who was pretty cool. Pisces, cute, traveler! Writer! The place isn’t even a minute from my HOPEFULLY new apartment so that would be good too.
The IRS money is here, I’m tempted to call them and just hash it out first thing to get it over with. Yeah thats what I’m going to do
