Elite Whole Life Challenge
My thoughts on the 60 day challenge……
Well, I totally wish I had been that girl that took measurements and before and after pictures. I didn’t take any pictures or measurements, and I was even hard pressed to even weigh myself before hand because I honestly didn’t think I would stick with it the entire time, or even lose any real weight. So my jumping off point was my initial weigh in and then my goal was to not cheat more than once or twice a week. (That is what I loved most about the challenge, it wasn’t all or nothing, if you got off track a little one day or cheated at a meal, you could always make it up and it did not sabotage the entire thing).

In the beginning it was tough, no cheese or bread, and the coffee without my sweet creamer was torture everyday. But eventually, I got used to it. I would get on a roll and do 5 days without cheating, and then reward myself on a Friday night by cheating….only to be sick for 3 days after. It got to the point where it wasn’t even worth it to cheat. (who am I?) About halfway through I started to really see a difference. I could see muscle definition, I felt stronger, and felt better during the workouts. I started to feel better through out the day. By the time you start actually seeing and feeling results, the train is rolling and it takes alot to make you cheat (like a girls night with pizza and booze).

I also began to see that if I ate well and exercised most of the time, that one good, indulgent meal, or few glasses of wine were not going to tank my progress. That was the biggest thing, I realized that if I put the hard work in, then those few little splurges were ok.
I didn’t realize how much I had lost until I started trying on clothes for vacation. I normally am a large and wear size 12 shorts. I was trying on mediums in dresses and shirts and even bought a pair of size 8 blue jean shorts!!! (granted they were boyfriend and a baggy style, but an 8 is an 8).
I went from 175 lbs to 167.6 as of yesterday, after being in Hawaii for 8 days and eating like a local :)
**Goal weight has always been 165…now it looks like its 160.
I would do this challenge again in a heartbeat. I definitely feel that the daily reflections and the log of exercise and food was a huge help. To give you kudos when you did good, but to also remind you that one cheeseburger is not going to make or break your success!
I am planning on starting again next week, you know #lexusnotapinto
