Well, for your opposite perspective I’m 28 and sometimes feel 3000 years old. That’s a ridiculous number I know but I’m using it to illustrate I most certainly do not ask myself when I will grow up. I have memories from age 14 wondering if perhaps my father would like to grow up because I felt decades more mature and focused than his tantrums (45 going on 14 indeed) or my mothers willful ignorance towards healthcare.

I’ve seen this trend before, and I’d like to understand it further. Really? 14? I feel certain I’m assigning too much levity to your comment and just running down the rabbit hole with it.

I very much feel like an adult. I feel privileged to be a productive and empathetic part of society, and I take pleasure maybe in enjoying youth-like play with young ones but there is absolutely no doubt I am an adult.
