#FreeKesha! Then get her Blacklisted.

If you’ve managed to completely miss this passing shit storm, you’re probably one of the lucky few who tuck their head in a bucket of tar during any of the previous events involving the Royals. There’s a number of reasons why I can’t believe Kesha’s allegations of rape. Not to mention how this has turned into an attack against Sony and Dr Luke with no evidence backing anything Kesha has said. This asides, I hope to entertain the idea of these allegations as if they were true. So let’s begin.
Let’s begin by saying that Kesha isn’t lying. That she was actually raped over a decade ago by Dr Luke. Why would she try to break contract just on the grounds of someone raping her without taking action against the rapist? Why would she persist to attack Sony in court purely on allegations without any backed up evidence to support her claim?
Obviously it’s been over 10 years. I doubt there is much evidence but this does bring more questions. See, this all started back in 2014 when Kesha announced that Dr Luke had subjected her to a series of different forms of abusing, once raping her near the start of her career. I know in media the producers will give grief to the performers for them to look subjective to their ordinance. This isn’t out of the ordinary and despite not approving of it, I’m not going to focus too greatly on that part. It’s to be expected of either sex in media.
Focusing on the rape that allegedly happened, it seems like quite a long time for someone to suddenly become uncomfortable with a producer. Not to mention that Sony have offered other producers to her. Yet she turned them down out of: fear Sony won’t promote her music. Apart from that making no sense on Sony’s side, Kesha could easily promote her own music and make the same revenue, if not equal to. She’d still have her music played on the Radio, fans would buy her music and she’d still be able to tour. I don’t see how that is a real threat. Not to mention the dedication of her fans being demonstrated in the past couple months.
From what I can tell, she’s tried to work the law to her favour. She now disagrees with the terms Sony have given her, after spending some quality time in rehab. She knows she can start a war online, she thinks she’s entitled to more than what her actual worth is and is using quite an ignorant approach to try and have her way. Which is why I don’t believe she was actually raped.
Rape is a serious crime. When someone makes that accusation it’s taken very seriously. What’s pushing Kesha into publicity is the three types of people who will take the allegation and make it out that it’s really happened. Or, as Feminists coined #ListenAndBelieve. Which, first of all three… Feminists are supporting #FreeKesha. The fans of course are too. Then lastly, people who empathise. These are three very dangerous put together. Especially when these three also read nothing but Buzzfeed and Salon articles. Which didn’t mention Kesha was allegedly raped, they said that she was raped.
To put this into perspective, no one thought of these two things. First of all, why would Sony allow a rapist to still work as a producer in their company? Secondly, why would he not be behind bars if there was evidence supporting she’d been raped and this was actually fact?

Going by Gaga-logic, the government should just Listen and Believe. Because women don’t lie and they never have done.
If anyone of any real credibility were to say this, they’d automatically be shut down and called an idiot. When Lady Gaga says something as stupid as this, it’s brilliant genius! I don’t even know how to begin to explain how dangerous that would be if people just listened and believed in everything they heard. Why do you think I’m writing this? People do like to base judgement on evidence presented to back or support an argument, statement or claim made. There is a thing called proof that needs to be presented for a lot of things!
If Kesha breaks out of her contract or the court sides in her favour, it will not be pretty. It will by far not be good. Perhaps I’m being too cynical and she has been raped but honestly I don’t see it. Regardless of whether or not, she shouldn’t be allowed freedom. It will only prove as an example for other women, especially today’s Progressives, that you don’t need evidence to win with something so serious as this.
This whole stunt worries me because there are cracks starting to appear heavily in politics and throughout government. Especially in court where feminists have had men arrested for disagreeing with them on the internet. If Kesha is allowed to break contract on allegations alone, it will be a marking point for unjust claims to be made and taken as truth despite how wrong they may be.
Either way, to end this I’ll put a link to Feminist Culture’s Twitter on publicity trying to #FreeKesha. https://twitter.com/feministculture/status/708781776986963968
