Yours would be a reasonable response if the Scalise situation was all that Son of Baldwin (or I) had written about. Baldwin and I both talked about an environment in which our experiences are routinely cast aside as if they were nothing. Sort of like you did here.
You’ve managed to parse out the piece of the writing that you can handily use to make your specious claim and in so doing, you dismiss 90% of the argument and the context.
This is not unusual. This is how arguments like this work: Black pain, no matter the cause, and Black responses to pain, no matter the cause, are dismissed.
