Don’t Sleep With Your Make Up On!

Whether it was an exhausting day or just lazy girl mistake, most of us have been guilty of sleeping with our make up on once, twice and even thrice. Make up is suppose to make you beautiful and leaving it overnight will do just the opposite. We will give you reasons why you shouldn’t sleep with your make up on.
The primer, foundation, powder, blush, etc you left overnight will clog your pores. Your pretty face needs to breathe! It’s okay to apply some makeup during the day to pull your look together, but bedtime is when you should be refreshing for a brand new day. Keeping makeup on your face one night won’t cause your skin to go crazy with breakouts, but if the habit continues it could attract acne-causing bacteria to your pores. For beauty lovers who suffer from acne-prone or inflamed skin, sleeping with makeup on can clog your pores and oil glands. As a result, this can promote breakouts and blemishes. According to Women’s Health, dermatologist Dr. Dennis Gross states that wearing makeup to bed can stretch out your pores and lead to inflamed, irritated skin.
If you’re an eyeliner addict who forgets to wash away that fierce smokey eye at the end of the day, keep in mind that this can leave you with irritated or infected eyes. To avoid conditions like blepharitis (which is an inflammation of the eyelids) and conjunctivitis (commonly known as pink or red eye), it’s best to stick to your facial cleansing regimen.Naturally, sleeping in mascara can lead to the horrors of lash breakage. The particles in your favourite mascara will not only irritate your sensitive eyes, they can also lead to weakened, brittle lashes after some time. If you want to maintain your luxurious lashes, be sure to take off your mascara once you call it a night.
Bottom line, our skin repair and rejuvenate itself when we are sleeping and not having enough sleep the previous night gives the skin little time to repair itself. A bad night sleeps wrecks your skin and sleeping with your make up on just makes it worse. Make sure you always have a clean face before you retire to bed every single night.
