Five years ago, I was sitting in my work uniform, skinny as a runner bean and severely depressed. It was January, and I thought, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I can’t live like this, something’s got to change.’ So, I searched on Pinterest and found journalling questions for The Best Year Ever.

Let me tell you. It changed my life. It was one of those pinnacle moments when you see your life for what it is. It was tough, but it needed to happen.

After seeing the results from the journalling exercise, I completed it year after year. And I could see how much better my life was becoming every. single. time. There was no stagnancy, and the following year proved even better than the last.

The Best Year Ever doesn’t happen by accident. You have to go out and create it. Will you hit bumps along the way? Yes. Will you always end up exactly where you planned? No.

You have to leave room for flexibility and change, but by using these journalling prompts, you can point yourself in the right direction. I’ve updated and personalised the OG journalling prompts, and I want to share them with you.
