Bernie’s destructive primary challenge was based purely in misogyny, as was his earlier failed challenge of the first woman to win the governorship of Vermont. Bernie’s narcissism has no limits and his cultists continue to feed it. He set up the scenario for Trump when he encouraged his followers to accuse Hillary of being “crooked” — - a corporate shill, a serial criminal and more— -all of which Trump used in his own campaign, frequently crediting Bernie with having said it first. The Bernie image of Hillary entered the lexicon and too many so-called progressives bought it. Even, as you have so eloquently and angrily pointed out, to the extent that they were willing to allow a fascist pig to occupy the White House.
