The Wolf and the Gun

His heart was pounding in his chest as he faced the wolf. He pointed the loaded gun directly between its eyes. But he didn’t shoot. As he gazed into its eyes, the wolf began to shiver. He kept his gun trained on it as the wolf transformed into a beautiful young woman.

He lowered the gun.

She ran anyway.
