A Review of the first palm wine tape

Palm Wine Music origin can be traced from Liberia down to Ghana and later Nigeria, the Hi-life attributes of the genre are prominent with some guitar strings, drum, and vocal to go along.
In 2017, the rap duo Show Dem Camp released a seven-track extended play which featured BOJ, Ikon Mix, Ladipoe, Ajebutter 22, Tomi Thomas, Funbi, and the alte poster boy Odunsi The Engine.
The project runs for circa thirty minutes which leaves you with wanting more, it was experimental, the first in the palm wind music series.
Up to you, a mid-tempo highlife/Calypso tune urge people to dance away their sorrow, the need to forget tomorrow with Tec going first with his verse after a sonorous hook by Funbi.
Since their 2013 tune "Feel Alright", SDC and BOJ have been like Siamese twins, going on record, slaying it, they did the same on this Fela's influenced compose. Percussion wise, I like this song, BOJ sounds lazy on this tune.
There is a skit here, lamentation about genders, the Wahala of the city.
I don't do ladies unless they are independent, that's a joke jor. Independent ladies featured the tech guy Ajebutter 22 with verses from Tec and Ghost on the excesses of Independent ladies. Who got the break on 2:30?
She wants more followed the theme of Independent ladies, excesses of women, indiscreetly, it about sex, I like the drum and guitar strings.
Tec spoke Yoruba on the up-tempo " What You Want", unusual. There was a deliberate break on this beat, for dancing I guess. You cant but noticed the Jazz influence on this song.
BOJ had a second shot on this project with Popping Again alongside Odunsi. It was a dream come through for him, being on a record with people he listened to while growing up. Tec went really hard on this. No verse from Ghost and I feel it understandable.
Spax produced the entire project.
P.S: After this project, they also churn out:
Palm Wine Music 2 (2018)
Palm Wine Express (2019)
