interesting exchange of thoughts, until we got to the point of highlighting English spelling (pedalling) as opposed to US spelling (pedaling). Why I can’t imagine. Irrelevant.

Such pedantry leaves me no choice but to assume that the “the End of Oil is neigh” wasn’t slanted humour (sic) on the inevitable reliance on horsepower, but simple bad spelling

(and even stationary balancing requires energy input, and can only be held for short periods)
