Your claim about teens is not rooted in reality. The adolescent years and experiences are qualitatively different from that of middle and early childhood, and anyone with even a cursory knowledge of developmental science knows this. Even legally in the West, they can be treated differently than those of younger age.
You also do not understand the diagnostic criteria of pedophilia as defined in the DSM. For one to be attracted to teenagers makes one a hebephile or ephebephile, and the latter is thought to be more common among men in general and with an evolutionary explanation for it.
If we are to help the children in our care, we need to be clear about these things.
