Energi Mine is honoured to announce that Lord Rupert Redesdale will be joining our Energi Token team as an advisor. Lord Redesdale was the Energy Spokesman for the Liberal Democrats for the House of Lords 2000–2008 during which time he introduced a number of private members bills in the area of energy and conservation.
As Vice Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Climate Change Group he has worked to spread the message about the carbon costs of energy, especially computing.
Lord Rupert Redesdale has an extensive history in the energy sector having been the Liberal Democrat spokesman for Energy in the House of Lords. He has been a member of the House of Lords since 1991, has worked on a large number of energy related pieces of legislation and has tabled more Private Members Bills on energy regulation than any other Peer.
In 2009 Lord Redesdale launched the Anaerobic and Biogas Association which has since become the industry body for Anaerobic Digestion. In 2012 he formed the Energy Managers Association of which he is CEO.
The EMA has been recognized by Government as the professional body for Energy Managers. The membership which now has over 1500 members who manage over £6 billion of energy spend is involved in all areas of energy efficiency, and storage.
Lord Redesdale in 2012 was awarded the accolade of Environmental Parliamentarian of the year by the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management and is the CEO of a water retailer, The Water Retail Company.
