How to join the next generation of organizations?

The Nyenrode campus, where the Summer Journey will take place, is situated in a 13th-century castle.
Survey after survey shows that the majority of employees feel disengaged from their organizations. They suffer from power games, bureaucracy and a never-ending succession of change programs. They experience a gap between their strengths, passions, and opportunities. Deep inside, employees long for soulful workplaces, authenticity, passion, and purpose.

Liberated Enterprises

A number of organizations have managed to achieve this liberation, or so-called ‘teal’ development, which represents the next stage of human consciousness. They are regarded as the next generation of successful organizations with happy and engaged employees. Examples of these companies include Patagonia (a worldwide recognized company designing outdoor clothing and gear), Buurtzorg (a Dutch home-care delivery organization), Voys (a leading telecommunications operator) or Springest (the ‘Amazon of learning’).

How Do They Do It?

Liberated enterprises implement decentralized and distributed power structures and mechanisms that emphasize trust and transparency. This trust is demonstrated by a lack of managerial levels and shared authority among employees. They reconcile all parts of oneself to be true to one’s calling and passion. Liberated enterprises follow their evolutionary purpose and realize their vision.

The three pillars of liberation include self-organization, wholeness, and evolutionary purpose. They represent the must-haves for any organization that ultimately favors happy and engaged employees.

Summer Journey

Targeting employees from all sectors in a managerial position, the Liberated Enterprises’ Summer Journey includes a week in July on campus at Nyenrode. During this period, the participants are put through intensive training, master classes, workshops, and peer coaching, which will take themselves and their organization to the next stage of development. The week will be followed-up by peer coaching. It will highlight practical self-organization implementation solutions and will walk through the HR practices that allow safe and open working environments.

We will learn together about a deeper sense of creating the next generation of organizations and we will also dive into the growth process of these organizations, following their purpose, their ‘how’ strategy, the way they implement planning, budgeting, and much more. partners up with Nyenrode University to bring a more hands-on experience to the world. We hope that this week, rich in inspiring talks and practice, will steer more organizations toward the path of becoming more emergent, sensing, and with each node aligned to their vision.

“Action without vision is only passing time. Vision without action is day dreaming. But vision with action can change the world.” — N. Mandela
