SHANGHAI, China, Jul. 3, 2018 — Energo Labs’ COO Kaikai Yang was inducted into the board of directors for Women in Renewables Asia (WiRA) during an inauguration ceremony held in Sheshan, Shanghai on July 2nd. WiRA is the first women-focused NGO in Asia Pacific’s clean energy market.

Aside from Yang, other leaders and prominent board members of WiRA include Tetchi Capellan, President of the Philippine Solar and Energy Storage Alliance and Former Vice Minister of the Philippine Department of Agriculture; Yisha He, Chairwoman of Unisun Energy; Sophie Lu, Head of China Research for Bloomberg New Energy Finance; Mary O’Donnell, CEO of No Fossil Fuel LLC and Clean Power Inc.; Charlotte Roule, CEO of Engie China; and Valerie Speth, CEO of Juwi Renewables APAC.


On July 4th, Energo Labs COO Yang Kaikai was invited to attend the 2018 China International Optical Storage Conference held in Shanghai. The conference was hosted by Leader Associates, including the East China Storage Leaders Alliance (EESA), the Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA), the Global Electrification Alliance (ARE), the International Clean Energy Sustainability Association (ICESN), and the Global Off-Grid Power Generation Association. (GOGLA), among others. This event was the first stop in the group’s global energy storage conference series. The conference aimed to provide a global platform for exchanging information and technological insights related to photovoltaic and energy storage applications.

During her session, Yang spoke about the benefits that blockchain development will bring to the clean energy industry. Other sessions focused on topics such as recent policy trends, energy storage innovation, microgrid technology, photothermal power generation, and energy business models.
