Energo’s Business Development Manager Lathika Chandra Mouli Speaks at Manila Energy Startup Seminar
MANILA, Philippines, May 24, 2018 — Energo Labs’ Business Development Manager Lathika Chandra Mouli was invited to speak at the “Building the future of energy with startups from Philippines” seminar in Manila on May 22nd. Focusing on the challenges and future potential of decentralized energy startups working in the Philippines, the event was hosted by EnRupt, an innovation company that aims to transform the energy sector by creating partnerships between energy startups and established corporations.
During the seminar, Chandra Mouli provided a detailed explanation of Energo’s blockchain-based DAE community solution. She also illustrated its real-world applications through our proof-of-concept Philippines campus microgrid project at De La Salle University — Dasmarinas, which was implemented in partnership with national Philippine energy provider First Gen.
Chandra Mouli’s session was part of a wider discussion that explored the value that energy startups can bring to the decentralized clean energy market in the Philippines, especially in cooperation with local companies. Other guests and speakers at the event included Katarina Uherova Hasbani, Founder of EnRupt; Wei Yik Lee, CEO and Co-Founder of Ava Asia; and Marlon Apanada, Managing Director of Allotrope Partners.
Considering our successful campus microgrid project in Manila and our recently-opened Singapore regional hub (which will be hosting a Tech Week event this coming weekend), participation in this event represents Energo’s continued advancement in the Southeast Asian market.
