Welcome to the Entity Battle of Launches! This is the final ignition check for the Entity Launchpad. Learn how to prepare for this public testing round and enter the $10,000 prize pool!

What is the Battle of Launches?

The Battle of Launches is a community beta test before the Entity Launchpad goes live with real launches on mainnet.

The signup period ended on February 26.

When and where will the event happen?

The event will be held on the MultiversX testnet from February 23–28, 2023.

The test launch will take place on https://entity.global/launchpad/.

How do I earn rewards?

Users can win prizes in two ways:

  • Participation: complete different testing scenarios
  • Bug Bounty: be the first to find and document a major bug

How will the test launch work?

The event revolves around a test launch for a sample project. This launch will include phases that are familiar for many Web3 users.

Users will complete different scenarios such as claiming tokens for a specific tier or not staking enough xEGLD to qualify for the snapshot.

How do I know which scenarios to test?

There are four different testing groups, and each group has one mandatory scenario and one optional scenarios.

Everyone who registered will receive their testing group assignment via email from marketing@entity.global.

Can you complete scenarios for multiple groups?

Participants must complete a mandatory scenario for their assigned testing group to qualify for rewards. In addition, you can also complete the optional scenarios in your testing group for more rewards.

Can I use my regular mainnet wallet for testing?

While it is technically possible to switch your mainnet wallet over to the testnet for this event, users should create a new testnet wallet for each scenario they are testing.

This helps ensure users don’t accidentally make any transactions on mainnet during the event.

Do I need to use real information for KYC?

While real Entity launches will require KYC, there is no requirement to provide real KYC information for this event.

For the testing scenarios, users should provide sample information. Fictitious info like fake names and addresses are acceptable. For KYC documents, we recommend using Google Images to find high quality images.

If completing multiple scenarios, users can use the same information or documents multiple times.

How does the snapshot work?

The snapshot will be based on testnet EGLD (xEGLD). Users can claim xEGLD from the MultiversX Testnet Faucet.

Once the event begins, you can visit the Testnet Delegation page to stake the amount specified for each scenario in your testing instructions.

The scenarios require different levels of staked xEGLD, and some even specify that you don’t stake any xEGLD at all. For this reason, you should wait to stake for each test wallet until you have received your group assignment on February 23.

Does it matter which staking provider I use?

No, you can use any testnet staking provider you want.

How are Participation Pool rewards allocated?

Participation Pool rewards will be distributed in proportion to the total number of participants and scenarios tested.

This means that users who complete both of their assigned scenarios will be eligible for more rewards.

Example: 500 users participate in the event. 300 test two scenarios, and 200 test only one scenario. With 800 tests conducted overall (300*2+ 200*1), we can therefore calculate that each test will earn $6.25 in rewards ($5000/800 tests) and thus each user can get ~$12.50 in EGLD if they complete both of their assigned tests.

What types of bugs are you looking for?

Bug Bounty rewards will only be given for major bugs, so look out for bugs that impact the security or core operations of the launchpad.

In particular, this means bugs that either prevents further testing work or triggers an application crash, loss of data, or major loss of function in order to qualify for the Bug Bounty Pool.

DDOS attacks are prohibited and will not be rewarded for this event.

How much are the Bug Bounty prizes?

Bug Bounty rewards range from $500 to $1000 each and will be distributed in $EGLD. Make sure to submit your bug reports before the Bug Bounty form closes on March 1 at 22:00 UTC.

How do I get my Bug Bounty rewards?

You must be the first person to submit a Bug Bounty report for a specific bug. This report must contain a full description of the bug as well as what device you used when you encountered it.

The report also contains your reward wallet address, so Entity can send you rewards if your bug is selected as a winner.

How are Battle of Launches rewards distributed?

The Entity Team will send the rewards in $EGLD as soon as possible after the event. Please allow up to two weeks from the end of the event for the reward distribution.

We will provide more information about how to get credit for your test scenarios in the coming days.

What happens if all the Bug Bounty rewards aren’t claimed?

The entire $5000 in Bug Bounty prizes may not be distributed if not enough major bugs are submitted by the community.

In this case, the remaining Bug Bounty rewards will be re-distributed to users in the Participation Pool in proportion to how many scenarios they completed.

What do I do if I have a question that hasn’t been answered yet?

We recommend users start by reading the Battle of Launches Event Rules thoroughly on the Entity Knowledge Base to understand how the event works.

If you still have any unanswered questions, feel free to reach out to the Entity Team and community leaders on our official Telegram channel.
