Paulo Dybala, The Player With the Most Pressure in Italy

November 15, 1993 was the day that the Laguna Larga neighborhood in Cordoba witnessed the birth of Paulo Dybala. Little did we know that the newly born child with immigrant descent was going to turn into Juventus FC’s most expensive transfer in the summer window.

21 years later, the young footballer finds himself as the center of attention of all the Italian press. After 40 successful games for local club Instituto Atletico Central de Cordoba, scoring 17 goals with no more than 17 years of age, US Citta di Palermo laid eyes on the youngster and announced the transfer on July 2012.

Three successful seasons with the Sicilian club in which “La Joya” Dybala scored 23 goals in 90 games caught the attention of none other than the European giants Juventus.

After several rumors linking the player with FC Barcelona and AC Milan, La Vecchia Signora finally signed him for 32 million Euros; it was the most expensive transfer for the Turin club this summer.

Dybala arrived at the most successful Italian club in the last five years to fill in the spot of none other than Carlitos Tevez. Although Juventus signed other renowned players like Mandzukic, Simone Zaza, Alex Sandro, and Hernanes, the Argentinian promise is the youngest of all the newly arrived players.

Called to be the “different player,” Dybala inherited the mythical jersey number 21, worn previously by legends Pirlo and Zidane.

Being in the eye of the storm, Dybala is forced to succeed and maintain the high standards previously set by players like Vidal and Llorente both at a domestic and European scenario. Performing at a level that will show beyond doubt that his form in Palermo was not just a temporary streak will be the greatest challenge for the skillful footballer.

Now, the young promise has to prove to the world, with skill and goals, that despite his young age, the Argentinian international will keep bringing nothing but joy and happiness to Torino.

This season the player will have to prove his 32-million-dollar worth and demonstrate that no obstacle will keep him from reaching his full potential, not even being the player with the most pressure in Italy.
