Open Letter to TED: Women’s ideas are worth sharing too
Nicole Armos

People should be picked for talks because of the quality of their ideas and speaking.

Picking people based on their gender, or preferring one gender over another is sexism, and sexism runs against the tenets of equality.

Ideas do not have more or less worth because the holder is female. The ideas are important. The gender is not.

Treating women as if they need special treatment and an “easy tee” to use a golfing term is sexist and shouldn’t happen.

Good ideas will be aired.
