How Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump took over Washington (and why nobody will cover the Teneo Scandal)
As Americans frantically search for proof of Russian election interference, evidence of collusion between the Clinton and Trump families goes overlooked.
Most of the mass media reported the John Podesta Wikileaks email dump in October 2016 to the effect of: ‘some aide called Chelsea Clinton a spoiled brat’. That aide was Doug Band, founder of the global corporate consulting firm Teneo.
Teneo was founded in June 2011. By October 2011, Chelsea Clinton was conducting an investigation of Clinton Foundation corruption. Lawyer Bruce Lindsey alerted her to an independent audit report by Kumiki Gibson dated late 2008.
The conclusion: the Clinton Foundation was functioning more as a political organization centered around granting access to Bill Clinton, rather than as a charitable organization with clear long term philanthropic goals. Gibson’s report also detailed sexual harassment complaints, lack of whistle-blower protection, missing paper trails, and a litany of other serious legal concerns. (Keep in mind, this report was issued before Hillary Clinton became Secretary of State and before Teneo was founded.)
November 4th 2011: Chelsea Clinton goes after Teneo, guns blazing. She denounces Band as a crook and informs Clinton staffers that fellow Teneo employee Justin Cooper was caught red-handed installing spyware at the Clinton Foundation. Chelsea explains that everyone knows Cooper has been reading all their emails.
Doug Band responds:
“I’m also starting to worry that if this story gets out, we are screwed. Dk and I built a business. 65 people work for us who have wives and husbands and kids, they all depend on us. Our business has almost nothing to do with the clintons, the foundation or cgi in any way. The chairman of ubs could care a less about cgi. Our fund clients who we do restructuring and m and a advising the same just as bhp nor tivo do. These are real companies who we provide real advice to through very serious people. Comm head for goldman, dep press secretary to bloomberg, former head of banking, and his team, from morgan stanley for asia and latin am. I realize it is difficult to confront and reason with her but this could go to far and then we all will have a real serious set of other problems. I don’t deserve this from her and deserve a tad more respect or at least a direct dialogue for me to explain these things. She is acting like a spoiled brat kid who has nothing else to do but create issues to justify what she’s doing because she, as she has said, hasn’t found her way and has a lack of focus in her life. I realize she will be off of this soon but if it doesn’t come soon enough….”
January 4th 2012, Band doubles down on Chelsea Clinton’s malfeasance:
“I just received a call from a close friend of wjcs who said that cvc told one of the bush 43 kids that she is conducting an internal investigation of money within the foundation from cgi to the foundation
The bush kid then told someone else who then told an operative within the republican party
I have heard more and more chatter of cvc and bari talking about lots of what is going on internally to people
Not smart”
John Podesta responds:
“You are perfecting your skills for understatement.”
To which Band replies:
“I learned from the best
The investigation into her getting paid for campaigning, using foundation resources for her wedding and life for a decade, taxes on money from her parents….
I hope that you will speak to her and end this Once we go down this road….”
Chelsea Clinton ultimately won her fight against Doug Band, squeezing Teneo out of the Clinton circle while consolidating her power. But Cooper and Band remained armed with evidence of “500 different examples” of Clinton conflicts of interest.
Fast forward to September 2015 when Neera Tanden began sweating over the “bryan pagliano situation”. Tanden writes: “Bryan was the one who retrieved all our emails for Maura to read. Maybe that is why he’s avoiding testifying.”

So why was an ostensible charity receiving classified information from the state department? What were they doing with it? And what did Teneo do with these state secrets after Cooper hacked them from the foundation?
Now is where Ivanka Trump and her father’s presidential administration enter the story of the Teneo scandal.
In 2012, Teneo Strategy established an office in Dubai and hired Richard Powell as their president. In 2013 Teneo hired Andy Somers, recipient of “the Order of Friendship, the highest Russian state order that can be bestowed on a foreign citizen”.
Two days after the electoral college made Donald Trump’s presidential victory official Justin Cooper resigned from Teneo. He continues to serve on the governing board of the American University in Dubai.
Next, Trump campaign communications adviser Jason Miller joined Teneo Strategy to work for Richard Powell.
And the Emirates opened a Trump golf course in Dubai.
This year, Dina Habib Powell has become Ivanka Trump’s liaison to power brokers in Washington DC.
Dina Powell, an Egyptian-born Arabic-speaking diplomat from the George W. Bush State Department, left Washington to direct the Goldman Sachs “10,000 women” PR initiative. This was formed in the wake of her friend, Goldman Sachs COO Gary Cohn lying to congress about his company defrauding their investors during the housing market bubble. Cohn is now Director of the White House National Economic Council, despite getting caught with a $15 million conflict of interest with China.
In addition to being Ivanka Trump’s Washington liaison, and her economic advisory role in the White House, Dina Powell was promoted to deputy National Security Adviser, earning her a seat on the National Security Council. This morning, news broke that Steve Bannon has been kicked off the NSC.
With the Jared Kushner, Gary Cohn, Dina Powell team taking over the White House, Ivanka Trump is quickly establishing her power. But instead of alerting the public to Dina Powell’s conflicts of interest with Teneo, the “Resistance” press has stooped to pretending her marriage never existed.
“This report was updated at 8:08 a.m. An earlier version said Powell is married. She is not.”

Surely Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump have a lot of dirt on Teneo and what it has been doing for the past 6 years. An independent press would be asking the relevant questions. Instead, they’re helping publicize Chelsea and Ivanka’s women’s rights posts on Twitter and Instagram. Makes sense; the “Resistance” press introduced Ivanka to Dina Powell.
For all the treasonous accusations leveled by the Clintons and Trumps against each other, the truth is that the two families have been close since the 1990’s. Not only is it clear that Donald Trump won’t appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Clintons (was his candidacy a quid pro quo?), it’s also clear that his administration has conflicts of interest with the very Clinton associates they should be investigating. Chelsea gets away with using the Clinton Foundation as her personal piggy bank (allegedly) and Ivanka gets an office in the White House with a confidant in the national security council meetings.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for the mass media to report on Teneo…
