ugh these automated texts aren’t FOR the good people like you and I — they’re for the jerks who make reservations at more than one place and then just think it’s ok to no-show at the other reservations they somehow got. Which means that the restaurants they reserved at but didn’t show up to keep holding their tables, and then the decent people who were hoping for a last-minute table don’t get one because the jerks didn’t cancel their reservation. I live in a city where this happens a lot, apparently, and the chefs get MAD on social media.
