In my humble opinion the world needs more awkward and uncomfortable people on TV. Because that is authenticity for a large underrepresented group. Usually artists (but not always). Then maybe some understanding can begin to come into how much time and deep practice goes into producing an authentic piece of work. But I also believe the enthusiasm and desire for the spotlight is authentic for a lot of people too. And others can learn this part of themselves if they feel the need. I totally agree on how hard it is to do both. The double bind. I like that and I am going through it right now. It’s painful growth but I’m such an idealist that I am hoping to find authenticity and peace in both producing and maintaining works of soul truth while opening myself up to what the world needs from me on a public forum.
