Hi, I’m Erie Astin!

I’m 37 years old and live in Montana, USA.

On Medium, I write about things that have happened to me, travel, and my physical and mental health issues, as well as poetry and fiction.

I’ve been writing here since February 2021.

I’m eternally grateful to have had the chance to study at Oxford University (photos above), as well as the University of Pennsylvania, the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and Washington State University.



My pets are my life.

I'm disabled and live with my parents.

Every day for nine years, I've had severe debilitating headaches, which prevent me from working and even driving. I also suffer from Bipolar disorder and various other ailments.



I’m a passionate athlete.

Before the headaches cut me down, I loved to run, swim, row, ski, and hike. Sports are part of my identity, and I will never stop fighting to get that part of me back.
