Know your audience.

Top-down marketing doesn’t guarantee success. Your strategy must be street-level, bottom-up. In other words, just because some well-known personality supports your product doesn’t mean that his or her followers will do the same.

Create a consistent, compelling and coordinated campaign strategy. Don’t just throw $hit against the wall — create a plan and stick to it.

Don’t exaggerate your momentum. You’re likely not doing nearly as well as you think.

Data. Data. Data. Do everything you can to collect real-time data, analytics, measurable, tracking and audience information.

Eventize. Eventize. Eventize. No, it’s not a “real” word but it’s a real strategy. Your marketing must create moments. Moments typically are born out of experiences and events.
