Let’s Get Started, Shall We?

Life In Las Vegas Through A Different Lens. xo, yours truly

Let me start with: I’m happy you’re here. In fact, I’m happy I’m here. About three months ago the idea of being here didn’t sound like a super fun idea to me. But that’s a story for another time. The story that I want to tell right now is a story of the future.

I live in Las Vegas, NV. Before I lived here I regarded it as nothing more than grime and desperation, a well-oiled machine to exploit the masses easily hypnotized by shiny things. Though it is these things, I found that when I scratched beneath the surface, Vegas is other things as well.

Las Vegas is a place of dreams. Lucid dreams. Because you can come here and make it whatever you want.

Las Vegas is a place for artists. Go downtown and behold the breathtaking murals. Go to The Beat Coffee House and take in an impromptu tap dancing rehearsal. Go to First Friday and see the artists from every corner of the world.

Las Vegas is a place of heat, of fire. Things burn and they burn bright because there is so much fuel to keep the flames. I choose to be elevated by this element. (Easy because I’m a Sagittarius.)

Now Las Vegas is the setting to my life’s story for the next three to four years. I have decided that while I’m here I’m going to become a millionaire and share that journey with my readers. I have also decided to invest in real estate here despite the fact that I “didn’t want to put down roots in this city”. That has turned out to be false. I am also going to painstakingly work on defining and achieving my idea of the best self that I can possibly be. And probably next year I’m going to try to start a family with my husband.

Anyone who wants to come on this journey with me is welcome. And I look forward to seeing where it will lead.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
