When I was in 5th grade, my beloved teacher read aloud to us every week — an experience I cherished.
Why Reading Aloud Matters
Barbara Lee

My 6th grade teacher read to us nearly every day after recess. This definitely should be done more. I think Twenty-One Balloons was my favorite.

She also gave prizes for various reasons. Sometimes it was a candy bar. Sometimes it was school supplies (like HUGE eraser). And sometimes it was books. With a prize of “Prince Caspian,” she introduced me to Narnia.
