CEO’s on a power trip

Here is a question; If you started a company, worked hard and grew it from the ground up, does it give you the power or the right to treat people the way you want? Does it give you the power or the right to attack people on a personal level?

I recently had a bad experience with a CEO on a power trip, actually this was the second time and on both accounts it was misunderstandings. Yes I was wrong too, but I would never make someone feel worse than crap!

Why can some people handle success and others not? Is it a culture thing, circumstances or is it in our DNA? Or are they still just immature leaders who needs to get more experience in leading others and working with people.

Yes experience is important, but your attitude is in my opinion more important. Attitude is what shapes us in life, if you have a go-getter attitude, you will get what you want, if you have a negative attitude, you will not get anything. If you have a high and mighty attitude and think you are better than others, then I am sorry you will fail in some aspect in life.

Research was conducted by Psychologist Carol Dweck and she found that attitude is more important in terms of success and growth than your IQ score or experiences.

I once read that your attitude is you storybook, it shows others that you have for example low self-esteem, resentment, anger, fear or stress. It takes hard work to correct your attitude towards others, work or life, but the reward is so much greater if you do correct it.

I am challenging all CEO’s, Managers and people in power to work on your attitude, treat others they way you want them to treat you, don’t rule by fear, but with respect and a positive attitude.
