“I’m assuming you have a desire to have sex with somebody.”
According to many Feminists —
rape is not sex:

Even if it were it would be neither the most practical nor most expedient means. Sex can be bought, for money, from many sources, including right here on this very internet on which we are presently conversing. I could open a computer window right now and have a woman in my bed in less than one hour.
As it turns out, one of my self expectations is: I don’t commit violent felonies. That, in addition to my lack of desire, precludes my raping anyone.
I am not at all averse to consulting outside sources for guidance when formulating self-expectations. Feminist ideology, however, is not one of those sources.
If I were to consider Feminist ideology to have any credibility, I might be tempted to commit rape. According to many Feminists there is a “rape culture” which acts to condone rape and to excuse rapists. In addition, only a miniscule number of rapes are ever reported, fewer result in charges and still fewer rapists are convicted. Rape must be an easy crime to get away with.
Fortunately, I have no confidence in the validity of Feminist ideology. I don’t believe for one second that I would get away with it so easily. Lack of desire, inexpediency, and danger are three reasons for me to refrain from committing rape. In addition, rape being a violent felony, it would violate my self-expectations.
I also practice a self-expectation whereby I will not approach a woman sexually in any manner that I would not want her to approach me. I follow the Golden Rule (the biblical one, not this one — -> ).
For clarification, I will reword the statement in question:
… employing the most expedient and practical means available to me at the time that doesn't involve committing a violent felony.
