I completely agree, I am speculating. I do personally think the father is very much to blame but he is a grown man. He is completely responsible for his actions and his own thoughts. I mean, clearly for anyone to commit a crime of this nature there is something not right in their head — most people even in extreme pressure still would never be capable to do what he did.
Someone who has something “wrong” with them (something I cannot pinpoint but I guess the ability to become radicalized), if in a normal environment without hate speech and constant anti-American rhetoric, I don’t think it would have happened. I think the father was constantly pushing him closer to the edge with his words. Maybe his dad was his hero and clung onto his words. I don’t know.
I don’t think I’m able to express it to well. But it’s completely hindsight speculation. You’re right about that. :)
