Basic Game Mechanics of The Eternal Mages World
Ok, Magicians, you asked, we heard you.
Intro
Let us be honest with you, the main goal of Eternal Mages ecosystem is to absolutely change the current situation in NFT-based gaming projects when all your chances of getting a very rare and high-priced NFT only come down to a raffle and a lottery in the end. (and everyone knows in fact that teams often mint ultra-rare NFTs to themselves. A bit unfair, isn`t it?)
Tell us, is it a good way to ask your new community to “spread the word about our collection”, advertise a project, draw pictures and do useful work for a team, and then reward 99.9% of users of ordinary NFT, which has no use case and further utility? Or, even worse, promise users an honest mint without limitations, and then using bots, take almost the entire collection and dump the price on a secondary market?
Sounds bad? This is how things are going now in many collectibles, which drop in price and volume nearly to zero in a matter of days after minting. (You already know that ofc)
Our team of writers, artists and core devs believes that these things are wrong. The most active participants who contribute to the community and continue to support the project at all its stages after the initial mint should be rewarded with much more valuable entities.
A Brief Overview
So, let`s pull back the curtain of mystery a little. We don`t have useless PFPs of apes/moonbirds` forks that lose value to zero immediately after clicking a MINT button.
All 3333 Mages are unique, but, as you remember from the previous article, they are only at the beginning of their journey to the Titans and Eternity. You will get an opportunity to add a line to our lore in this game universe and decide the destiny of your hero.
Everything is simple and fair— the more participants are involved in the community, the more they contribute by actions, creativity and overcoming various challenges on a path of their hero’s progress, the more valuable their character becomes and receives rarer/more unique attributes.
“Give me an example”:
Let`s say, on the warpath and other challenges (you will meet them in the next Chapter), all Mages need to solve a complex quest/puzzle with more than one answer.(It should be noted that it`s just a simple instance to show you the main model)
Possible results and consequences:
- the fastest answers are rewarded with attributes/clothes/weapons of some rank rarity. The higher the final score — the higher the rarity.
- the most accurate answers are rewarded with attributes of another rank rarity.
- a creative approach to solving this quest and all the above opens access to additional attributes(?legendary?).
- inactive NFT owners who do not participate in the adventure can only claim a random attribute that will not be as valuable as the winners at this stage.
Imagine that you can sell your common Mage immediately after reveal on OpenSea for 0.4 ETH, or you can participate in the development of your hero, transform him to uncommon/rare/etc and, if you do not want to develop further, sell it for 1 ETH on a secondary market.
