Alright, back home with the parents, in Maryland! Time to get immersed in Baltimore and continue with these interviews.
Today I conducted two interviews, one with Yair from SmartLogic and another with Tan from InceptionPad. In these interviews, I learned more about the challenges that development studios face in their work. Studios have a strong business model, since there is such a high demand for product development from startups and companies. However, studios are always looking for more sales to further increase profits.
According to these interviews, the biggest focus is increasing sales & revenue. Both companies are healthy, but could always use more channels to reach and secure customers. Word-of-mouth and referrals via community are great but somewhat sporadic.
Learning about the perspective of development studios was interesting, although at this point I am unsure how they will relate to and interact with the entrepreneurs I plan on serving through FailUp. Time will tell.
