Day9- Why I’m Doing This
For Me & Others Like Me

Aug. 13th, 2016
So after a week of doing video blogs and asking for engagement from friends, I realize that this whole producing content thing is pretty difficult. It is time-consuming, and it sucks when people aren’t reading it. You feel like you are wasting your time.
My friends have been asking, why are you doing this, and I’ve been asking myself the same question. Am I sharing for the same reason as everyone else, to get more likes? To feel loved in the online social world? Maybe a bit. But if that is my number 1 reason, then I should stop right now.
After some reflection, I came to the conclusion that these videos, these blogs, they are for me, more than anyone else. I am doing this for myself, because documenting my experiences is valuable. I can learn from myself, if I give myself more time and space. Even if my mom is the only one reading these blogs, at least my mom will know what I’m up to and how I’m doing. That right there, thats enough justification for me to continue.
My second goal, however, is to really provide value for others, and build a community of like-minded aspiring entrepreneurs in the process. While it is great updating my mom and all, it would be a lot more fun if I found and engaged others. That is what would change this from a little project to something truly energizing.
QUESTIONS I HAVE FOR READERS / LISTENERS!
Have these videos provided any value for you? How can I make things more relevant for you? What do you want to learn about?
