From the first day at Bootcamp, I was faced with the challenge of having to adapt to the new environment, the Facilitators and my Peers. I was faced with different opinions, different cultures, mindsets, and a fast-paced learning experience but I embraced it all like all things in life without fear and built positive relationships with my peers, researched tirelessly on the web for new ideas I didn’t understand, asked the facilitators for guidance and sought feedback on how to improve my coding skill, version control and relationships with others. I imbibed the growth mindset and believed that true learning can only take place when I stretch myself out of my comfort zone.

I have also observed that it is imperative to be flexible and agile in today’s fast-paced business environment. With changing requirements and changing business goals, one of the most sought after skill within the workforce is an employee that is easily adaptable to change. The ability to bounce back, re-assess and adapt is one that is highly valued.

It’s not the strongest of species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change. -Charles Darwin

In conclusion, I have come to understand that in order to meet the demands of a challenging environment, I should be ready at all times to adapt to the environment, be it the workplace or anywhere, accept change and make positive impact.
