I’m going to address this in parts.

I do think that’s what they felt they had to do. But that’s not something brown and black Latinx individuals can do. Being able to adopt a white aesthetic is privilege only white latinxs have.

“White-passing Latinx people can’t win — they’re criticised for not looking white enough, and criticised for looking too white.”

I’m not criticizing them for their skin complexion or aesthetic. I’m criticizing them for using the system to benefit themselves while brown and black Latinxs suffer from the very same system.

“Hey! You’re doing Latinx wrong!”

That’s not what I said in this piece and I think you know that. But you made good points earlier so I’m going to let it slide.
