I’m new to nephrology. I’m green, very green.
I’ve been a RN since 1999 and a nurse practitioner since 2009. I’ve worked in women’s health, LGBTQ, endocrinology and family practice. My experience in nephrology was checking a eGFR and if low recheck 3 months later and if low again refer them out. That’s it.
Well maybe not. I’m cutting myself short. Ive educated diabetic patients on protecting their kidneys. As well as manage hypertension and sometimes resistant hypertension.
We all need a challenge, a change. This was mine. Jumping into the kidney world from the world of conjunctivitis and sore throats.
Here’s my journey.
