Robin Hood’s Barn in Westwood, Mass. ..I grew up in nearby Medfield, and my mother used to take me to Robin Hood’s for buying gifts: a set of “bon appetit” placemats for a French teacher, a purple hippie candle for a sixth grade birthday party, two dresses for me when I graduated from college in 1982. The building’s still there, and it’s still red, but the iconic Robin Hood sign is no more. Very exciting to see that old logo once again — thank you! [and you’ve inspired me to take a look at my own matchbook collection from the late 1970s to mid-1980s, mostly places in England, where I lived for a semester in college, and in Baltimore, where I spent time after I graduated.]
