Books and characters

My second blog post for english

Part 1 — 10 books I want to write.

1. “Alls fair”

- A story about two generals from opposite sides that fall in love.

2. “The station”

- A story about a… I can’t really explain it.

“The shadows all took their tickets without question, without interest. They move to the right platform as the station bell rings. They walk to the right carriages and find the right seats. On each seat there is a book. An instruction manual. Some far longer and others much shorter than the others. It explains who they will be, what they must do. They feel no sadness or longing if they see the other shadows manuals. They are but a body.

The ticket master walks through each carriage clicking ticket after ticket. The moment he walks into the next carriage it is the end of an error. New generations, new lives created as he clicks the tickets and all those lives end as he starts on the next carriage.

The screen at the entrance and end of each carriage shows things as mundane as breakfast and as horrid as war. Not that anyone would be able to comprehend any of of what happens on the screen as several years pass every second. There is a weird concept of time on this train. It doesn’t exist and it won’t until about carriage 37 when one of the booklets creates a system to measure existence. None of the shadows react, they never react, they only read their lives from beginning to end.

Until of course something happens to the train. Then everything ends and a new train leaves the station.”

Thats what I have so far.

3. “Sight”

- A story about a very normal girl who is training to be an army interrogator. She has a secret… She doesn’t see people… She sees the embodiment of their personalities.

4. “The limits of knowledge” series

- A story about a religious group that can ask the universe questions.

5. “Blood bath”

- Someone who can control “blue blood”.

6. “The dramatic octopus”

- A childrens story about a dramatic octopus.

7. “Sky child”

- A girl who lives in the clouds. Literally and figuratively.

8. “The junkyard”

- A story about a girl who kills herself and falls into a world of mystery.

9. “The fam”

- A project i’m doing with a friend about some characters.

10. “Fairytales: redone”

- The fairy tales brought back to their bloodthirsty glory.

Part 2 — Create a character with the mental attributes of someone you like and the physical attributes of someone you don’t like.

A tall thin girl stands, twirling a lock of her shoulder length purple hair. She smiles wide, cheeks dimpling. The corners of her eyes crinkling and her eyebrows raised showing her supposed happiness. While her face shows an obvious happiness, her eyes are a cold granite.

She sits smiling. Her mind a flickering darkness. The shadows in her soul eating at the colour she should see. Corroding life seeping through the cracks. She turns from others and covers her mouth. The corners of her lips rising in an unholy fashion. An inhuman cackling in her ears. Oh the madness. She giggles and turns back to the others… They haven’t moved.
