Copper became a popular metal a couple of years ago and the trend is still going strong. Able to provide a warm, sophisticated glow to a decor while being a bit more affordable than its other warm metal counterparts it’s no surprise that copper is having a moment. Copper pairs beautifully with neutrals and natural materials such as woods and marble to create elegantly stylish interiors. Here are some tips on how to work a bit of copper into each room of the home.

Kitchen

Copper is naturally at home in the kitchen since it has been used in cookware for many years. If you have any copper pots and pans organize them in hanging displays instead of keeping them tucked away in a cabinet as an easy and functional way to add copper to the kitchen. Drawer handles and pulls are another easy way to inject some copper shine. If you’re really feeling the copper trend you could add a copper faucet or even a copper backsplash.

Bathroom

A bold way to add copper to your bathroom is with a gorgeous copper bathtub. A copper sink will have a similar effect on a smaller scale. Similar to the kitchen you could also add copper handles and drawer pulls or copper faucets. The bathroom is a great place to add some copper; the warmth of the metal can help balance bathroom decor that can easily feel a bit cold.

Bedroom

Probably the best way to add copper to the bedroom is through lighting. You could hang a copper pendant overhead or place a copper table lamp on your nightstand. On a larger scale you could add wallpaper with a copper pattern, or find a copper bed frame. If you have a desk or sit-down vanity in your room a copper chair or stool is also a nice touch.

Living Room

The living room offers perhaps the most opportunities to embrace the copper trend. Copper coffee or side tables are a great way to add warmth and shine to living room decor and serve as a nice balance to any woods and upholstery in the space. Floor and table lamps are another way to include the copper trend. There’s also ample chances to add copper through decorative accessories on tabletops and bookshelves.

Dining Room

Copper dining chairs are an easy and attractive way to add copper to the dining room. If you’re worried about metal chairs being too uncomfortable or cold you can add some cushions or throws keep things soft and cozy. A copper pendant or a grouping of pendants over the table is also a great way to include copper. There’s also always tabletop accessories like candlesticks, trays, and platters that are an easily interchangeable way to add trends to the space.

A versatile metal, copper can work with almost any decor, from mid-century modern to contemporary Scandinavian minimalism. You don’t have to go overboard and add copper to every room, but hopefully this post has inspired you to infuse your decor with at least a few copper pieces.
