I went to a cabin in the woods to sit,
read,
lay,
gaze,
think,
be,
to listen.
The sound of silence weighed light in my palms as my back rested gently on the cool, moist ground.
The bugs and leaves whispered sweet mantras in the wind, sweeping my clunky boots off the earth inbetween phrases.
The soft exchanges of X’s and O’s filled my body with warmth to the brim.
I am learning to sit,
read,
lay,
gaze,
think,
be,
and listen despite my surroundings.
For no matter where we are, whatever moment is in front of us has the ability to be the most beautiful, life altering moment we may ever know.
All we have to do is sit,
read,
lay,
gaze,
think,
be,
and listen.
