Hurricane Harvey has devastated the city of Houston

Hurricane Harvey, the largest storm to hit the US since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, slammed into the Texas coast on Friday night, bringing 130mph winds, surging waters and fears of major damage to coastal towns.

The storm made alndfall as a Category 4 hurricane, the second highest classification, and barreled into the small city of Rockport where it brought down the roof of a nursing home.

The Marlton Elks will be driving down this Thursday with donated items. They are coordinating with Elks Lodges in Texas to be certain that the items get to the people who need it the most! They will be driving down this Thursday; August 31st. Anyone wishing to donate anything may drop the items off at Family & Co Jewelers in Marlton, NJ from 10 til 6 today through Wednesday (8/23). Thank you in advance for your support.

Some suggested items: cleaning supplies, baby wipes, baby food, diapers. Non-perishable, ready to eat food. Pop top cans are better than solid cans. Powdered milk, powdered baby formula. Dog and Cat food. Toiletry/hygiene items.
