As for images of “black male effeminization and emasculation — I’ll be honest, I had to google that one. Interesting topic — I’d never heard of this until now, thank you for bringing it to light. Perhaps it was her intention to portray the men that way. Or perhaps the intention was to have a fly lookin group of free black well off men.

As for scenes with the “female promotion as sex objects” — that IS probably another article for another time. To me, there’s a difference between:

1. a TV commercial playing “Let’s Get It On” with an opening scene of a woman stepping out of a pool dripping wet in a bikini…in slow motion. :/

2. a music video made by a woman dripping in knowledge who also happens to embrace and love her sexiness while dancing in formation with a look of #slay on her face as she “graciously” makes paper while being the albino alligator.

Those, to me, are two very different things. 
And Formation is anything but the former.
