Scott Reiss: KTVU Commentator and Stanford Football Play-by-Play

Scott Reiss has been working with Fandate for a month now, and has brought his sports expertise to our fans. Scott Reiss is an American broadcast journalist that came in contact with Fandate through our partnership with KTVU. KTVU us the Fox affiliate in the Bay Area. He is also the voice of Stanford University athletics, where he handles football and basketball coverage.

Scott Reiss is originally from Chicago and was raised in Los Angeles in Southern California. He went to college at Stanford University and graduated with a degree in communications in 1993, and completed his master’s degree in sociology in 1994. Reiss’s career started in Utica, New York where he worked as a news/sports anchor and reporter at WURT-TV, from 1995–1997. From there he became a sports director in Santa Maria, California at KCOY-TV from 1997- 2000.

Soon enough, Reiss became an anchor at ESPN, hosting College GameNight, SportsCenter, Baseball Tonight and ESPNEWS. He was also a fill-in host for College Football Live and NFL Live. Reiss also formerly worked for Comcast SportsNet Bay Area and ComcastSportsNet California, where where he hosted SportsNet Central, as well as pre- and post-game shows for the San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics, Golden State Warriors, and San Jose Sharks.
