We are excited to welcome the 21 year old Youtube Sensation Tré Melvin to our FanDate Family. He became a profession actor when he was 12 years old where her performed in everything from musicals and theatre, to television commercials, to short films. Tré became famous through his Youtube personality best known for his web series This is a Commentary. The series features sketch comedy and parodies of videos that have gone viral.

Tré was originally born and raised in Dayton, Ohio before he moved to Orlando, Florida. He has a sister named Kaylah and you can find him frequently posting photos of his nephew and sister on his Instagram account. Tré is a published playwright and philanthropist who studied theatre between grades 7 through 12. Tré then went on to Business Marketing at the University of Cincinnati. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.

The pilot episode of the series, Niggas These Days, premiered via Melvin’s Facebook profile on October 9, 2011 and worldwide via Youtube later the same day. In merely one week and four days, on October 20, 2011 This is a Commentary reached 1,000+ subscribers and 100,000 video views as of October 28, 2011. By June 2013, less than two years later the channel reached 1 million+ subscribers and 100 million+ video views. Currently the channels has 3 million+ subscribers and 270 million+ video views.

Along with This Is a Commentary Tré is known for his character Watermelondrea Fruitopia Jones. She is the main character portrayed by Tré for This is a Commentary, and she is also the star in the spin off series The Ratchet Chronicles of Watermelondrea, and the new series Dr. Drea. She is one of his most famous characters and currently has over 36,000 followers on Twitter.

One of the most profound things that Tré has revealed about his self besides his comedic personality is the fact that he is bisexual. This was a huge moment for him and his fans when he announced this though Youtube in 2013.
