Tonight’s Top Plays
Goalie: Ben Bishop $7,600
I will be riding with the hottest team in the NHL as they are 9–1 in their last 10 games! Ben Bishop will be going up against Montreal, who has a 3–6–1 record in their last 10 games. Ben will be looking for his 4th straight win tonight and has averaged 4.9 fantasy points in his last 10 games. He will be fresh for this game as he got the night off yesterday, so I am looking for him to have a nice game against the struggling Canucks.
Center: John Tavares $7,500
Tavares is pricy, but he is definitely worth the investment! He will be going up against Blue Jackets tonight, who are one of the worst NHL teams this season. The Blue Jackets have given up an average of 0.91 goals to opposing Centers, which ranks highest in the NHL. Tavares has been on a tear lately, he has 9 points in his last 6 games. He will be the guy I build my team around tonight!
Wing:Andre Burakovsky $3,600
Andre has just been on fire as of late and is way too cheap to pass up on! He has scored at least 1 point in 9 out of his last 10 games. During his hot streak, Andre has scored as low as 3 fantasy points and has reached as high as 8. He has been performing at a very high level with the 2nd line and taking a lot of shots. I think Andre is an excellent play for that price, because he allows you to spend big money on a high priced stud that you love.
Defender: Drew Doughty $5,700
Doughty is as consistent of a fantasy option as you can get, and is at a great price. He fills up the stat sheet weather its blocking shots, shots on goal, assist, or goals. This guy just does it all! He will be going up against the Bruins tonight, a team that has given up the 6th most points to opposing defenders. He has had 5 straight games with at least 1 point, so riding with Doughty is the way I will be going tonight!
