I really don’t know when a timeshare is a good idea. My aunt tried to give my sister one of the four she owned and my sister was smart enough to say no.

For the cost of those maintenance fees, you could go anywhere at any time. Or nowhere, if you needed the money for other things. It takes away the choices you might have otherwise.

There are so many horror stories of not being able to get out of the timeshare agreement. I hope her family is smart enough to dissolve the timeshares she owned, now that she has died. That is one of the only ways you are able to get out of it without losing any more money.
