These articles are ridiculous. In rural America, not having access to a car means no job, no way to shop, no access to transportation, period.

Buy a used car you can afford. My last car cost me $2000 and I had it for 15 years. Even when I bought tires, $350, or had new brakes done, $400, it was still affordable to drive.

Knowing how to drive is a life skill. You may want to rent a car sometime.

What they ought to say is quit eyeing luxury cars on a minimum wage budget.
